Jacob (Jake) Rothman, CPA, CFA earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, a Master's of Business Administration from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia (with academic honors), and a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University (summa cum laude). He started his career at Draffin & Tucker as a staff accountant, and served as Chief Financial Officer of Albany Area Primary Health Care. After earning his MBA, Jake worked as an equity analyst for Mayo Capital Partners in Boston, Massachusetts and for Madison Investment Advisors in Madison, Wisconsin. He is currently Portfolio Manager at Rothman Investment Management, a private wealth management firm he founded. Jake is the founder and Chairman of Life Camp Ministries, Inc, a children's Bible camp. Jake is also the founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Alpha Kerdaino Foundation, a private foundation supporting Christian ministries in the areas of evangelism and discipleship. Jake also serves on the board of Child Evangelism Fellowship of San Luis Obispo, California, and is a board member and Treasurer for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Southern California. An avid reader, Jake seeks to understand cognitive biases that cause mispricing in securities, resulting in opportunities for practitioners of a disciplined, rational strategy.
